Gary A. Hunt

Mr. Hunt is President and Treasurer of Thomas Fahy Insurance Associates. Additionally, he is a Founding Member of Acorn Insurance Alliance, LLC and continues to serve as one of the managing members over the past 18 years. He began his insurance career with the Aetna Life & Casualty serving 10 years working in various positions in claims and marketing management. In 1988 he joined the team at the agency as an independent agent initially focusing on production and sales. Having worked in conjunction with the late Thomas B. Fahy he continues to carry on the agency tradition of the past 58 years. Providing a "consultative" approach he believes is the key to providing financial security allowing clients to make educated and informed decisions.

A graduate of Springfield College, Magna Cum Laude, shaped his philosophy of helping others achieve their goals. He is the past recipient of several awards including Outstanding Alumnus Award, Outstanding Young Men of AmericaAward and American Legion Post 96 Commanders Award.

As a life long resident of West Hartford Gary has served the community in various ways. He has been on the Board of Directors of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, West Hartford Youth Baseball League, West Hartford Alumni Baseball League and Team Connecticut Baseball. In addition to serving as an Administrator, President and Treasurer he coached 33 years including 8-years with Post 96 American Legion. Further, he is the founder and past coordinator of the Cooperstown Dreams Park annual trip for West Hartford's youth. He was inducted into the Team Connecticut Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009.

Gary enjoys playing golf and spending time with his high school sweetheart and wife Kathy. Together, they are proud parents of daughter Dana, son Steve, his wife Jessica, grandson Brayden and grandaughter Brinlee.
